Happy woman tourist with arms raised up, Greek island Santorini, Oia

To obtain a Greek Golden Visa, you need to collect certain documents and submit them together with your residence application. We can take care of everything through a power of attorney. You only need to visit Greece once, even for a day, to provide your biometric data.

1. Select Investment Type

We provide independent and impartial legal advice and services to all our clients.

To apply for the Greek Golden Visa, you need to invest in Greece.

You can choose to invest:

  • Real estate or commercial activity worth at least 250,000 Euros.
  • Securities or bank deposits of at least €400,000.

We can assist you in this decision by taking your individual needs into account and developing a model completely tailored to you.

2. Organize Your Initial Documents

The power of attorney can be signed in the presence of a Notary in Greece or at a Greek Consulate abroad.

These include:

  • Getting a Greek Tax Identification Number.
  • Opening an account with a Greek bank. If you have a SEPA account in Europe or certain other countries and want to apply through the real estate option (€250,000), you may not need to open an account in Greece.

Once you become our client, we will guide you every step of the way, from the documents required to sign a power of attorney to how to register with the Greek tax authorities and open a bank account.

3. Finalize Your Investment

Hands-on Help

When you choose your investment and sign a Power of Attorney to us, we:

  • Make sure the correct process is followed so that you can qualify for a Golden Visa based on your investment.
  • Perform legal due diligence.
  • Negotiate with third parties and prepare contracts.
  • Complete all your tax returns and complete the required procedures.
  • Sign sales contracts or bank documents on your behalf.
  • Submit all required documents to the competent authorities (ministries, notary, land registry office, banks, etc.).

Acting on Your Instructions

Our firm’s policy is to ensure that all your attorneys are qualified lawyers registered with the Greek Bar Association.

We always act in accordance with your specific instructions and no financial or other transactions can be made without your prior written consent.

4. Submit Your Application

Application Filing

The application for obtaining a residence permit and all additional documents can be made remotely by your legally appointed lawyer via power of attorney (POA).

Applications for other family members can be made at the same time or later.

Temporary Residence Permit

When you submit your application, you will receive a receipt called a blue paper with your photo attached, confirming that your application has been submitted.

This serves as a 1-year temporary residence permit. This means that you are entitled to all the benefits of the residence permit you applied for, except free movement within the Schengen Area.

5. Collection of Biometric Data

In order to obtain a Greek Golden Visa, you must go to Greece at least once, even for one day, and provide your biometric data.

Biometric Data

After applying for a Greek Golden Visa, you and your family members must personally provide your biometric data to the competent immigration authorities in Greece:

  • Fingerprint – not required for children under 6 years old
  • Sample signature – not required for children under 12 years of age

You can do this within 6 months from the date you submitted your application, otherwise a small penalty will apply.

Types of Entry Visa

Currently, citizens of around 100 non-EU countries or organizations require a visa to legally enter Greece. If you are not from these countries, you can legally enter Greece without a visa and stay for up to 90 days, depending on your nationality.

If you need a visa to Greece, there are several types of entry visas you can get:

  • Long-term national (D Type) visa from Greece valid for 365 days.
  • A Schengen visa obtained from any of the Schengen countries, covering a maximum of 90 days within a 180-day period.

6. Get your Greek Golden Visa

According to the law, you can get your residence permit within 2 months from the date you provide your biometric data.

We follow the process and when your residence permit is ready, we obtain it on your behalf. We can then:

  • Let us send it to you via courier.
  • Keep it in our office and we will give it to you on your next visit to Greece.

The residence permit is valid for 5 years. After this period, you can renew it for life, provided that you maintain your investment in Greece.
